During an interview with langrenn.com, Marit Bjørgen, Norwegian Cross Country Skier and Triple Olympic Champion, says that the changes in her strength workout is one of the main reasons for the Olympic success in Vancouver.
After she stopped the heavy weight training in favour of training in ropes the technique was improved: "We work a lot with balance, coordination and stabilizing muscles in Redcord", says Marit. She more or less gives this form of training the credit for her having a much better technique skiing.
