Redcord - 20 years of continuous development

2012
Redcord Stimula relaunched in selected international markets.
Cooperation agreement signed with the Interventional Centre at Rikshospitalet University Hospital and the University of Oslo, Department of Psychology to investigate the mechanism behind a documented experience for pain relief with the use of Neurac treatment including vibration apparatus Redcord Stimula. The focus is on identifying possible cortical mechanisms behind the improvement.

2011
The company implements a new marketing strategy based on communication of three segments: Redcord Medical, Redcord Active and Redcord Sport. New website launched and systematic work with social media implementation.
Course Portfolio for Neurac revised and updated and new training model with new courses being launched. Systematization of Neurac testing procedures integrated into Neurac two courses.

New courses for Redcord Active completed.
Redcord Stimula completed with additional features and improvements after 4 years of continuous product development. Preliminary information from the second study by Deborah Fallah using Neurac method and Redcord Stimula show positive and significant results.

Study initiated with the preparation and testing of a treatment structure to see whether the rapid effect (response) which is often achieved with Neurac and Redcord Stimula may provide a basis standardized course of treatment. Study carried out with public support.

2010
Strategic decision taken to establish three main segments for communication purposes; Redcord Medical, Redcord Active and Redcord Sport. It initiated the development of custom communications, product packages and courses related to each segment.

The first study of Neurac method and Redcord Stimula prepared by Deborah Falla is published. The study shows significant positive efficacy of the Neurac method and Redcord Stimula. The second study initiated in autumn 2010.

2009
The company's strategic choices and direction thoroughly reviewed and evaluated. Restructuring of the company was implemented.

Neurac article prepared by Gitle Kirkesola was published in the magazine “Fysioterapeuten” in December.

2008
In October, Eirik Lynghaug took over from Karl Rødland as the company's CEO.

The company elects a new board in December.

2007
Nordic Therapy AS changes name to Redcord AS and product name TerapiMaster replaced by Redcord. S-E-T training is replaced by the new Neurac courses. Redcord export products and arrange courses for physical therapists in 20 countries. Largest export market is Japan.

After two years of development and testing, launching the patented Redcord Stimula that increases the effectiveness of the Neurac method. Neurac treatment and Redcord Stimula gives remarkable results and studies are implemented at universities in several countries. The patented Redcord Mini launches.

2005
Redcord Clinic established as Redcords first clinic in Lysaker. Clinic's purpose is to be the company's center for professional development and training. Redcord Clinic specializes in Neurac treatment of patients with challenging muscle-/skeletal pain.

2004
Neuromuscular Reactivation, later Neuromuscular Activation, both abbreviated Neurac, established as a concept and is defined as a technique within the SET. Neurac techniques are integrated as part of the SET-depth courses.

Neurac method (Neuromuscular Activation) developed under the guidance of a physiotherapist, MT and Head Gitle Kirkesola. The method is through several years of continuous registration of clinical experience, research and studies. This new method shows that it is possible to achieve immediate impact in the treatment of back, neck and shoulder complaints.

2003
Launch of Redcord Trainer with instructional materials for home use. Sale starts through sports shops in Sports 1 and G-Sport stores.

Principles of neuromuscular training with Redcord developed gradually for more exercises and body areas. The theme of the seminar for update-SET therapists: Maximal Neuromuscular Recruitment (precursor to Neurac).

2002
Karl Petter Rødland becomes the company's CEO.
SET Competence is established as a separate business unit to ensure the further development of concepts and knowledge dissemination. It developed a program for certification of SET trainers in Norway and abroad.

The first patient with "Neurac-income" (course participant with a shoulder injury since birth) is treated by Gitle Kirkesola at a course in Alta. After this Gitl starts demonstrating how the effect can be achieved in shoulder disorders with "push-up plus" on the SET-depth courses.
Creation of subsidiaries in Germany and Sweden

2001
Physiotherapist SET scheme established to ensure the quality and contribute to further development of S-E-T - treatment. Studies with the application of Redcord published including Spine and new studies are initiated. The effect of suspension therapy is excellent in both the short and long term.

1999
Treatment and training Redcord (TerapiMaster) systematized the concept SET - Sling Exercise Therapy and gets very good reception in the disciplines of physiotherapy. Groups are established that assist in the further course and academic development.

1998
Introduction of the computer program TerapiMaster Praxis for selecting, editing and printing of personal training. The first computer program with exercises presented in progressions and protocols.

1996
The work begins with the development of courses for physiotherapists. Cooperation agreements signed with external training providers who participate in this development.

1994
Therapy Master workstation for physical therapy is introduced, including Sliding Bracket.

1993
The firm changed its name to Nordic Therapy and product Therapy Master. The focus is more on the development of equipment and method as an effective tool for physical therapy.
The first study done to examine the effect of home training with Therapy Master.

1992

First complete year in the training market as TrimMaster. Physiotherapists applaud the possibilities with slings as a treatment tool.
The first export starts.

1991
Redcord AS is established under the name Trim Master of Petter, Grete and Tore Planke. Builder and former gymnast Kåre Mosberg was the inventor of the patented device. When Petter Planke founded the company he had been plagued with repeated acute back problems for over 20 years. After contact with physiotherapists, he saw the potential of a tool both in physical therapy and a training in the home to prevent back problems and prevent recurring problems. Petter Planke is a living proof that the training works, his back has since been trouble free. Tore Planke has always been responsible for technical development and the company's patents.
